Description

Street art is filled with responses to the world around us. It can transform urban spaces and foster a sustained political dialogue, reaching a wider audience and making change possible. Street artists use public spaces to convey their fear, anger, and frustration with the inherently unjust systems they live in. They also depict hope adn opportunities for change. This session discusses what will happen to art such as this: who wants to preserve it an why? How can it be used in the future? Also, what does that mean for anti-racism efforts in the Twin Cities?
