Dr. Jessica Hodge (she/her) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Justice & Society Studies where she teaches primarily within the Criminal Justice program. Dr. Hodge also serves as the Faculty Director with the Center for the Common Good. In this role, she encourages and supports students, staff and faculty to be transformational partners who work to advance the common good. Dr. Hodge regularly community-engages her courses by co-creating mutually-beneficial opportunities with local community partners. Over the last few years, her students have collaborated with Women’s Advocates, a local non-profit organization that provides shelter and services for victim-survivors of domestic violence, and educates students and professionals about domestic abuse prevention and services.
