Robert K. Vischer is the Dean and holds the Mengler Chair in Law at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. He writes about the intersection of law, religion, and professional identity. He has published two books with Cambridge University Press – Conscience and the Common Good: Reclaiming the Space Between Person and State and Martin Luther King Jr. and the Morality of Legal Practice: Lessons in Love & Justice – as well as more than three dozen law review articles and book chapters. His BA is from the University of New Orleans, and his JD is from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Before entering the academy, he practiced corporate litigation at Kirkland & Ellis.
